It’s attention-grabbing that Turks and Caicos heather was picked as being the national flower in lieu of one of the islands' orchids, such as the Caicos Encyclia orchid (Encyclia caicensis). This orchid is found only during the Caicos Islands and has a remarkable array of color versions.
